Backgrounds
There are only a handful of iPhone and iPod Touch features that can be fully customized, and thankfully the background screen is among them. Apple provides you with a factory-default batch of backgrounds, and while they may be great for the new users, they certainly don’t hold up for people who really want to personalize their iPhone or iPod Touch. That’s where the Backgrounds App, released by Stylem Media comes into play.
This App, has you may be already be able to tell, is extremely popular among the App community. It provides a service that is much needed throughout the market, and it does so in a seamless fashion. It’s so easy that you can change your background picture within a few seconds! All you need to do is open the Backgrounds App, navigate to the background of your choosing, click download, and then change your internal iPhone or iPod Touch settings. On top of the ease of use, the App also provides a great level of choice to users. The developers boast over 50,000 backgrounds, and claim that new ones are added daily, and I’m sure no one doubts them. There are backgrounds in almost every category, ranging from cars to people to nature! The App also has built in sorting, including a search function, a “Popular” section, and even a “Recent” section.
This App has really all but sewn up the missing capability in Apple’s default design, and for that we are proud. We think that the developer’s did an outstanding job, and there is nothing we would change if we made this App. We don’t say that too often, and that’s why this App is something everyone should have. For that, we’re going to give this App an unprecendented 5 out of 5 stars.
